Steps to use the Penguin:
Obtain:

Palm with Serial HotSync Cable
Photologic Ltd. Model Penguin
with .prc application software.
Thermochron

HotSync the Penguin software called Penguin.prc to the Palm.

The icon on the Palm screen will look like this:

Attach the Penguin to the Palm using your Palm HotSync Cable

Place or mount the 
Thermochron in the
environment being
temperature logged.
Choose from several
affixing methods.

Launch  the button
using the Palm display.
Set Sample Rate in
minutes from 1 to 255
minutes between
samples, (1 day to
362 days logging).

Read the settings back from the Thermochron to confirm
 the launching.
6.
Read the Thermochron
data later, at any time,
...even if just a few 
readings are logged.

Collect up to 2,048
temperature reading
samples.

The plotted graph is just the right user interface to view the data quickly and completely.
Display the temperature history
Tap the Palm Stylus anywhere
to obtain the temperature, date,
and time at that point.
