Your shipment may have tariffs imposed by U.S. CBP before delivery which
Photologic Ltd. is ultimately responsible to pay (even if the customers UPS account# is used). Our experience is that 200% tariff has been imposed recently on 7 Photologic Ltd.
shipments to U.S. Photologic Ltd. believes that this is in error as the product complies with USMCA/CUSMA free trade agreement.
No Tariff Should Be Charged: A signed USMCA Certificate Of Origin is provided in the UPS Shipment Creation, where UPS uploads it to their data base for the tracking number. This certificate should exempt any tariff fee, however due to unknown reasons, the product is taxed at 35% or 200%. UPS cannot make a statement for the cause, correction, or if
the tariff they have disbursed to U.S. CBP can be reclaimed. Photologic Ltd. asks for an Upfront Payment of Duties for the maximum amount of 200% of the item value. If the actual duty charged is less than 200%, then Photologic Ltd. will refund the balance within 30 days, (as UPS Brokerage may take up to 30 days to charge the tariff duty.)
