Parallel To Serial Adapter For Replacing Dot Matrix Printers

Model CS-ZN-USB:
This unit is used to replace dot matrix printers that have a Centronics IEEE-1284 LPT parallel interface. The
output of the CS-ZN feeds a PC that has RS-232 Serial COM Port. This version also has a USB port connection
to a PC.

The unit helps users eliminate and retire old dot matrix printers that print plain text reports. 
The reports are instead printed electronically to a PC for paperless reports. The report 
data can be displayed on the PC screen in real time and saved to a file.

Criteria To Use Model CS-ZN-USB:

- The printer must have a parallel LPT interface (36 Pin female connector).
- The print reports are plain generic text (no graphics or rich text, or escape sequences).
- The PC has a USB port or RS-232 Serial COM port.

Tera Term "Terminal Emulator Software":

A example logging software provided is Tera Term. However the user can
choose from many other "terminal emulator" softwares that are available.
Tera term displays your print data in real time, while also logging to a file.
You can set screen window size, colors, and fonts to suit your need.
